Q1: What is included in the charter fee?
Passenger insurance up to NT$39 million per vehicle.
The charter fee includes fuel, tolls, and parking fees.
Entrance tickets and personal expenses (meals, accommodation, optional activities) are not included.

Q2: How are charter rates calculated?
Prices are quoted based on the number of days and the itinerary. Please contact our customer service for exact pricing.
Daily charter rates are based on itineraries within 10 hours.

Q3: How do I plan a charter itinerary?
We offer customized charter itineraries. You may also refer to our Top 10 recommended routes and adjust from there.
Provide your preferred attractions, exact flight arrival/departure times, and number of passengers—we will recommend suitable vehicles, routes, and accommodation locations.

Q4: Are you a licensed charter operator?
Yes. Miragz Tourism & Travel is a fully licensed charter service provider.
All vehicles are legal commercial vehicles with high-coverage passenger insurance. All drivers are professional and fully certified, and our vehicles undergo regular maintenance and annual safety inspections.

Q5: Do I need to pay a deposit to confirm a booking?
Yes. A deposit of approximately 20% is required.
Q6: How is overtime charged?
The legal working limit is 8 hours per day. Regular itineraries are based on 9 hours (around 9 AM to 6–7 PM).
Additional charges apply if the itinerary exceeds these hours.
For evening activities in the city, we recommend taking a taxi. For late returns in the mountains, accommodation should be arranged.

Q7: Can more than nine passengers ride in one vehicle?
According to Taiwan traffic regulations, more than nine passengers (including infants) require two vehicles.
We can arrange two vehicles and two drivers as needed.

Q8: Do you provide child safety seats?
Yes. One child safety seat is available free of charge (advance notice required).
Additional seats may incur extra fees.

Q9: Can I get a refund if I cancel my booking?
Full refunds are provided for cancellations caused by natural disasters or force majeure.
For other cancellations, handling fees apply:
Cancellations 41 days before departure: 5% fee.
31–40 days before departure: 10% fee.
21–30 days before departure: 20% fee.
2–20 days before departure: 30% fee.
1 day before departure: 50% fee.
No refunds for day-of cancellations, late arrivals, no-shows, or withdrawal from the group without notice.

Q10: Can you provide hotel quotations?
Yes. We can recommend suitable and licensed hotels based on your route.
Q11: What is the best season to travel in Taiwan?
Taiwan’s climate varies greatly. The rainy season typically occurs from mid-May to mid-June.
Typhoon season runs from June to September.
Temperatures: Summer 28–36°C; Winter 15–22°C. Mountain areas are colder.

Gold
Gold valued over USD 20,000 must be declared and requires an import/export permit from the Bureau of Foreign Trade.

Foreign Currency
Amounts exceeding USD 10,000 (or equivalent) must be declared. Excess amounts without declaration may be confiscated.

Securities
Amounts totaling USD 10,000 or more must be declared.

New Taiwan Dollars (NTD)
Limit: NT$100,000 per person. Excess amounts require prior approval from the Central Bank.

Renminbi (RMB)
Limit: RMB 20,000 per person. Excess must be declared and will be sealed by customs until departure.

Tobacco & Alcohol
Tobacco: 200 cigarettes / 25 cigars / 1 pound loose tobacco (age 20+).
Alcohol: 1 liter (age 20+).

Cosmetics
Glass ampoule containers cannot be imported.

Food, Fruits, Agriculture, Meat
Fresh fruits, fresh dairy, seeds, meat, and meat products are prohibited.
Due to African Swine Fever, all meat products—including airline meals—are banned from entry.

Processed food allowed:
Dried fruits, pickles, UHT milk, milk powder, etc., with restrictions (e.g., certain items under 1 kg).

Electronics
Duty-free limit: NT$20,000 per person. Items containing refrigerants (e.g., compressor-type dehumidifiers) are prohibited.

Toys
Limit: individual items under USD 1,000; up to 5 items of the same type.

General Customs Regulations
Declare items honestly at red (declare) or green (no declare) counters. Failure to declare may result in penalties.

African Swine Fever Notice
Meat products from high-risk countries are strictly prohibited. Penalties can reach up to NT$1,000,000.
List of countries requiring full inspection includes China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea, and others.
